Internship Framatome 2026 March/April – September – Erlangen (Germany)

Monitoring systems engineer internship: signal processing in the field of acoustic emission

Ref. IB_BUL_26001

Task description

Detection of material degradation processes is of growing importance for Framatome.

Within the department of monitoring systems and solutions, this internship aims at contributing to the signal processing development in the field of acoustic emission used at Framatome to detect and evaluate degradation processes in materials of pressure boundary components. The intern will learn to apply signal processing methods to analyze measured data and evaluate the results. The task will also include working on computational software (e.g. Matlab, Python …) used for automation of signal processing methods, graphical visualization and integration in existing monitoring platforms.

The knowledge necessary for the understanding of the specific acoustic signal processing methods will be provided on-the-job.
